Mike Relm- Clown Alley Dvd

No stranger to fans of extreme sports, Mike Relm is not your average DJ. Sure, he scratches records and manipulates sounds, but he simultaneously adds visual stimulation via similarly manipulated video footage. Relm in turn creates multimedia mash-ups of sight and sound that include incredible turntablism and beat matching as well as inventive imagery.

Clown Alley features live footage of Relm performing at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit, the Coachella Music Festival and at the Winter X Games. The DVD begins with Relm mixing the sounds of Jimi Hendrix's "Fire" with footage from Reservoir Dogs (in which Relm has humorously inserted himself in his signature black suit and tie). He goes on to perform additional audio/video mash-ups including the Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" with vintage Mexican wrestling footage and Peanuts cartoons spliced with scenes and music from Pee-wee's Big Adventure.
